Internet...

Every 5 minutes or so my Mozilla opens a new tab to pop-ups (poker, etc.)

My IE also opens every so often with advertisements.

Ive gotten a pop-up blocker to stop the IE ads, but i dont know how to stop Mozilla tab-pop-ups.

might be spyware..

run any checks?..

try spybot search and destroy and/or adaware for spyware removal.
spywareblaster for spyware blocking.
and avast for virus, though I doubt it is one just thought I'd throw that in.

 

Firefox has built in pop-up blocker that works fine for me.

 

get SP2 if you have windows, and adaware for a scan

 

This works fine for me for spyware removal. I have never used anything else since I got this but it doesn't work for viruses.

i have Zone Alarm for viruses
spybot search and destroy AND adware

I also downloaded google tool bar, and i still get these ----ing pop-ups. Its driving me crazy... im in the middle of typingand my screen switches.

 

you should check what processes you have running on startup
