Thats definatly an odd statement to make on a GFX site. I sure have learned a lot of things when it comes to design from the internet, and as a matter of fact, I've made a business out of.

I disagree with this strongly. I know for a fact that I would not have advanced in my artwork without the internet, nor would I have ever gotten the chance to make money with my art, become a featured artist in magazines, etc.

Pretty dumb statement to make on a graphics board, too.

Anyway, that original article is crap. I especially loved the bit where it says that communities are just an illusion

Why can't people like that just become Amish, forget technology ever existed and kept their face in their bible? It's annoying.

    Sorry...
    That made me laugh.

Making money doesn't make you creative, heck, being featured in magazines doesnt make you creative.
    Sigs are amazingly uncreative...

Being creative can make you money though. Why do you think people can sell designs?

Because buyers dont care about creativity.

Im not going into that agin, i'll be here all day.

    And @ Equivalent
Do the BUYERs care about the creativity?
No, most of the buyers just want something that looks good. I don't even know how we got into this, all i said was that if you sell something you aren't necessarily creative.
Ive sold bunch's of crappy sigs, they weren't creative.

well, only thing i might think will be a problem is the fact that some kids are becoming distant from reality, but actually, i feel it has connected teens more, AIM easily connects you to your friends for quick talk and such...

im atheist, and i respect all religions and people of them, but deep down inside me, i have always felt some hate for those who are very spiritual, mostly catholics and christians and such, but still...
