So, last night I was upstairs here in my room on my computer, when my mom came in carrying a newspaper article she had cut out (she has a tendency to do that kinda thing). She handed me the article, telling me it was a good read (short as it was), and I should read it too. It was titled "Internet ruins kids." Here it is, When i first say the title "Internet ruins kids," i thought to myself, "Wow, I bet its another lady who really has no clue what she is talking about. After reading through though, i was thoroughly surprised. Oh wait, nevermind, I wasn't. It was the dumb, unintelligent article I thought it was going to be. She speaks as if thinking logically is a bad thing. Last time I checked, logic was good, but hell, what do I know, I'm "Spiritually Dull." I suppose we should just stop advancing in technology that brings us information altogether then, or maybe degenerate to carving things into rocks and putting them in sheds. At least we wont be logical in doing so, because as stated above, that would be bad. Good idea, lets just stop thinking intelligently altogether and just sit and remember that God is up there, and that's all we'll need to know. ----- If you didn't notice my sarcasm which was very abundant in that, reread my comments until you do. Oh and one more thing. Notice the blatant grammatical error. Man, that's some "educator." Glad she's not my teacher, I'd hate to be reading hieroglyphics off walls. (But hey, we wouldn't be infatuated with the power of the internet at least.) Edited for slight spelling error in article (it was "such" not "suck")
Oh God, I love people like that. I just love arguing with them. They get so pissed when you bring up good points and they have absolutely nothing to say back to you. It's beautiful.
The same people who say that are drinking green tea all day long and only eat bread with goatcheese. Says enough i guess.
HAHAHAHA, I knew a guy whose mom was like this, she wouldn't let him go on the internet because she said it would steal his soul.
Part of the human drive is to build on, and improve everything we do, including technology, it cant be stopped. Its physological(sp?), if it wasnt, we would not be where we are today.
People are just scared of things they don't understand and ironically spend years at an end rationalizing something they're ignorant about when they could spend half a day learning about it.
Wow, that's pretty dumb. The internet does nothing like that, if anything it only educates us, not let us become spiritually dull.
she's dumb. who cares? just because she has an opinion doesn't mean its true. now lets all go back to the internet.
She's not talking crap. It's true, the interner drastically lowers people creativity and "Dulls" their minds. We think logically, but not creativlly, no flair no passion.
