Internet Problems

    well were do i start, im using
    BT Voyager ADSL Router, and my internet speed is running 83 % slower than its meant to be.
    It took me 30 mins to get onto the site and post this.

    Iv tryed:

    Checking wires
    Reseting Router
    Unpluging it
    Gt rid of all spyware and viruses
    Mass file delete up to 1 gig space freed, maby some dodgy files in them smware.
    Error check thing, wen you restart.
    Defrag.

    Still its running slow.

    can anyone help me =(

    I had this problem as well with my BT router. I asked my dad (a BT engineer) and he said that BT are upgrading their broadband service. This will be ongoing for a few days, but it should be back to normal by the end of the month. They're upgrading 78% of lines to 4mb/s, those closer to th BT exchange will get 6mb/s and those within 500m of the exchange will get 8mb/s. Hope that clears it up :)

    Yeh, I was running really slow yesterday, and for part of today, although no speed increase...yet.

    Oh, I forgot to say that they'll be finished by 31st March :)

    ok dump whatever router you have and get a linksys...it's pretty good

    yeah mines been slower the last couple days but even though there upgrading lines you still gota buy the upgraded plan :P
