I probably said this a thousand times or more, a fully patched IE is still a very vulnerable browser for all kind of nasties, so the best thing to do is either download, firefox or Mozilla suite. Only use IE for updates and if it wasn't for updates, IE wouldn't even be on my box.
Anyone using IE should just take it and quickly and quietly un-install it just like IE does with errors!
Well I wouldn't say that IE isn't good at all, its the browser you use for searching your hard disk, think of it that way and Firefox is good, hell I use it but its got its downfall, I think some things are missing from it, like the amount of Plug-Ins that IE has and since you can't go around and do everything fine right "out of the box" with Firefox there is that problem, but I think IE not matter what will still be the #1 browser, with Firefox taking part of the market, at school my Firefox isn't working, so I am stuck on Safari but today made up for it since I had 3 free blocks, second block, 4th block and last block so I basically had half the day off including the full lunch - 1hr and a half long lunch!
