    Internet addiction

thoughts. I almost wanted to call it BS but the "dropping dead" part was confirmed by G4 and other sources.

You have to know of this in context, South Korea is insanely known for the competitive eSports programs (video games are recognized as a sport there, as well as Chile, China etc...). So when the kids see their idols such as Hong Jin Ho, Lim Yo Hwan, Mae Jae Yoon, Kim Dong Su, Park Jun Suk, etc... making hundreds of thousands of dollars, with fan clubs in the millions, etc... there is no doubt there will be some people who take it far enough to make playing these video games (in reference to the names, the game of choice is Starcraft: Brood War).

Just look at the convention of a championship of a single match of Starcraft Brood War crowd... [IMG]

But don't take my word for it, take the National Geographic's word

EDIT: If they have fun and enjoy being on the computer, who are you (they) to say that it's wrong for them to have fun doing something that is relatively safe, drug-free, and quiet hobby. If scientists came out tomorrow and said that exercise actually gives you cancer, people would make the news for playing basketball every day, or lifting weights. It's harmless being on the computer, so why make a deal out of it?

EDIT#2: Actually just because I like good publicity for games to contradict those who say its pretty much the devil, watch this too!

Yeah, a lot of people have dropped dead from caffeine overdoses while playing games, Starcraft seems to be the game of choice for people dying oddly enough lol.

I know I am addicted, but its not to the point where I would neglect my personal care for the internet... at least not yet.

That comment has made me a different person, I feel like a new man; reborn. I feel a shift towards the positive going on in my life right now, no more negativity. I will remember you for a long, long time. Thankyou.

Honestly, both of your comments weren't necessary (not both as in 2 of yours, but both as in you and Something Creepy). Warning now, don't do it again. If you wanna whine like women, take it to the flame forum, if you wanna discuss, continue posting here on the topic at hand.

I'm addicted yes but I know I would have a problem if I am overdosing on caffeine just to keep on playing.

And lol to all of the spam posts ^_^

Oh, and someone needs to use that picture as an Avatar.
