    I'm planning on getting the crippled celeron version. Should have around 3mb l2 cache and a higher rmulti for less $$$.

    all I need.

    unless you need the unlocked multi, the 9550 should be fine. 8.5x multi and most boards should do 500+ FSB on the 1333strap. plus at stock it's only 5% slower. 5% is almost negligible.

    trust me, upgrades twice as often with slightly lower parts is best, I've learned that.
