Well, I was working on Photoshop for 3-4 hours straight. I close it successfully. After an hour or so I open it again and I encountered this error. Error: "The licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically." I thought it just requires a reinstall thats all. The problem is that I can't even install or un-install CS3. When I run the installer it doesn't comes up. After going through some stuff I finally managed to run the wizard. I selected remove but it is unsuccessful at the end. I have also tried deleting CS3 and removing the registries. When I start installing it finishes unsuccessfully again. My question is that, does anyone of you have a solution to this. My system HP Pavilion Core 2 duo 2.0 2GB Ram Windows Vista Premium
Easy Opinion Go into Safe Mode Log in as Administrator (not your usual account) Un-install Photoshop CS3 there To log in Safe Mode: - Restart Computer - Then Press the F8 Key and go into Safe Mode and go on from there If that does not work then download this: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ It is a freeware and helps a lot in the long run! Once installed go into Tools and Uninstall then Uninstall PSCS3 from there Hope it helped -Zain Edit: Oh and the error just means that the Licensing for the PS has stopped working...so You need to either re-install or call Adobe Support... IMO re-install to solve issue...the method above should work. It works for others
Well I finally got to install it at the end. Had to remove it manually, including the registries and stuff.
