wow Gr is dying by the minute
2 weeks ago there was like hiundreds of new threads
and now there is like 10-20 new threads a week
seriously we need to unban some people because GR is dying and getting boring without
all the pros and creds system that has
    been gone forever

It will go up and down, probally back up a bit soon because of school holidays.

As for bans, the 2nd chance thing seems to have gone.

...I see atleast 20-50 new threads a day, and well over 500 posts average, and thats considered 'slow' for GR. Weekends it speeds up alot, as it does on holidays. Thats how websites work, they fluctuate.

McFarlane's ego is far too large for these boards, note the reason why he was banned was for directly challenging a moderator, not once, not twice, but 3 times in a matter of a few seconds/minutes, and he had his previous issues prior to that.

Boxiom, well, he was already at 90% warning, so the last one just tipped him over the cup. Hes on my MSN, and I know him fairly well. He can be funny, and he does liven up the IRC, but he isnt the most mature person in the world, nor does he think before he speaks, which has caused the staff trouble.

Niether of them will be back anytime within the near future.

We haven't been receiving requests to be unbanned as much as you would think. We won't unban people randomly and just for the hell of it, we only will if the person bothers to contact us somehow about it.

Activity here usually drops off during the holidays and weekdays in general. Dementia already explained it well enough.

I think GR is enough active for me, except the General forum, I think more people should post their opinions and post new topics.

thats why myself am thinking of leaving
and more and more people arent online as usual not just because of the holidays
but because of other sites that are more
    active

    Merged Post:

In all respect to the admins. Some of the bans were just harsh, alot of people just get banned for stupid reasons. I think alot of the members here are actually scared to say anything in fear of the admins saying some thing *slowly raise my hand*

I just think that it shouldnt be so abosolute.

I think this mite be one of the reasons why people arent posting any more

IF you have something to say, say it. You wont be punished for voicing your opinions on matters of who is banned and for what reasons or for any GR business in general. We welcome comments and feedback.

The reason GR has been slowing down is because of the holidays, and people having exams and stuff for school.
    Remember, RL comes first. ;)

As for the bans, a ban is a ban if I'm allowed to speak up. Unless it's a ban for the wrong purpose.

Which bans do you not agree with? Some of the recent bans have been a long time coming. If a member has a warning level of 90%, what does that tell you? Is that member helpful, are they trustworthy, or do they like to push the limits? I think the latter is the one that fits the best.

But in no way are you going to be punished for saying you do not agree with something that happens here. But say it is a manner that is not obscene or offensive.
