The USA is a country based upon immigrants; we are the "Melting Pot Country." People from all over the world bring their cultures, legally, and assimilate themselves into American society, not completely losing their culture, rather, enriching ours. The problems with illegal immigration are many, not the least of which is culture. The mexicans that come across the border dont assimilate into society, rather, they want society to assimilate and accomodate them. most of them cannot even speak english. Granted, the mexican culture is beautiful, but it is just that.. mexican..not american. If I remember correctly, 2m people per year emigrate to the USA legally. That is a perfectly balanced number.. it gives them time to adjust to society, and it does not overburden the society trying to assimilate them. Now look at illegal immigration. Well over 2m mexicans per year cross the border illegaly. the USA cannot sustain itself fiscally or culturally with this mass influx of people. The mexicans use our hospitals, clinics, parks, roads, etc., all funded by the taxpayer. We--the taxpaying citezens--are paying for an extra 2m people per year... i dont want my money paying for them.. the first thing they did in this country was break a law!!

    oh, and also:

ann coulter was on OReilly the other night.. it was great.. OReilly, referring to the illegals, says "So what would be on your Christmas list?" she says,
"Build a wall, and deport the illegals."
they go on to something else for a bit.. then Oreilly brings the issue back..
"I would just put the guard on the border.. the wall is too expensive"
"well, the guard is for emergencies. create a new guard for the border and have them on the wall."
    "the wall is too expensive..."
"have the illegals build it.. cheap labor."
"but you cant just build a wall.. it sends the wrong message.."
"What message.. that we are a country??"

    bill=owned.

    nice

here is my thought... we should make a country half a mile wide directly between the US and mexico on out side... have ti be it's own seperate country... build huge ass walls all around its border, put a huge ass moat in the middle of it, and add automated gun turrets... I'd call it, berlinwallistan... it would violate the geneva convention and most US laws but who cares, it won't be part of the US technically, just fundered heavily by it.

We should definetly make a fortress around the southern border...then, who ever is hopping the fences have to buy grappling hooks just to climb up...

I dont care if mexicans come over here illegally, they are doing all of our man labor for cheap. as long as they dont get all the same benefits as american citizens, i dont care (not in a mean way, but they are here illegal, they shouldnt expect to have the same benefits as us americans, and we should have to pay for people who are not even an american citizen.)

Comon people, the mexicans and all the other illegal came here the same way all the people came in to the US hundred years ago, just cause at that time the US want some population that they make those people citizens and now blocking out the people thats coming here the same way?

I don't gave a dam about the illegals but I don't like people go dissing them like they commit a murder or something (actually, you don't even see that much of a uproar when a murder came on the news), god people be Rational. The constitution of the US said all men created equal, just because they are illegal, if they didn't do anything wrong (people said they don't paid tax and taken the job, but hey whoes the people thats serving you in the restruant? and those who cook for you in mexican resturants?) then I see no point of dissing them

They are just like you and me, but they have to work twice as hard and get half of what we get paid (jobs that we could take when we're out of college).

Now if you read one thing that I type read this!

People often compare illegal immigrants to our four fathers, and say that we were all immigrants once. But they are retarded because they really don’t know the facts, our ancestors learned the English language, and adapted to the American way of life. To be frank I have no problem with people trying to get into America, I would do it to if I was in Mexico. BUT FOR GOD SAKES DON’T WINE AND CRY WHEN YOU GET HERE! Just be glad you’re here and not back where you came from.

And I’m not going to learn Spanish just because they can’t learn our language. WE HAVE SPANISH ON THE VOTING BALLETS!!!!!! Why can someone who can’t even speak our language be allowed to vote? It’s bogus.

your dumb. Learning a language takes time, just cuz they cant speak, doesnt mean they shouldnt be able to vote.

I say just make em citizens. This way they wont earn ----ty wage, and and make the same as you people who are already citizens. Therefore you have a better chance at the jobs.

Plus their kids are worried that the parents will be deported. Imagine if that was you.
