Linux is prone to viruses. the majority of the world uses XP and the like, so hackers go toward Windows more.

in linux, you can have your own themes as well.

It's free to download (except if you buy a cd, or get a executive version of linux)

true that not many games/progs are made for linux, that's why there's Wine ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wine_(software) )

it is more widely used on servers

edit: linux is an easy interface. sure, you need to learn a few things about linux first, but after that, it's pretty simple... you can also have it work like Windows...

Everyone is forced to be a Windows man. There is just nothing that will beat that right now. Though, if you look at it then there are better things than Windows out there. It's just that all these people want the "User Friendly" stuff. I mean, you got this big ass registry and the fact that there is this stupid thing that pops up and says "Click here" on the "Start" button. If that isn't a bit rediculous I have no idea what is. OS10 and Linux can run the same programs as Windows (For the most part). But it's just getting companies to make them. They are not willing to do it so much. For every one program you run in Windows you could run 10 in OS or Linux. It's just something that keeps drawing us to this Nerd's doings. Bill Gates is litterally ruling the world with this this ----. It's okay though, it may end some day. I am just going to sit here and find out. ;)

As far as stability and security at the moment, yes. However, compatibility wise there are issues. You can use WINE for some things, but not everything.
