    help me!

Please note before saying "use firefox" that I do already.

But I occasionally get these "winfixit" popups in IE.

I want to find a way to disable internet explorer from opening, but without deleting it.

    Does such a way exist?

hmm there's really nothing to screenshot.

basically IE is opening up because an adware program is telling it to.

Disabling IE will not cause any problems for me because I rarely use it.

I just don't want to delete it.

    see if this works:

in internet settings, set your proxy to 0000 (or how many zeros are supposed to be in there..), IE will not connect to the internet. see if it helps, i heard this from somewhere else, or maybe here, i dunno.
