I don't think that raising the prices as high as 1000 Credits would work. As Snipe said if we have lower prices then more people will join, though it won't help in the beginning part of this Large Project, but it will in the long run. But, that can be decided later on. As for the resources and when this Membership shall take place, I would say for the first couple of members or days, make the price low and affordable, that way you can have more members contributing for the donation of their credits, rather than starting off the Project with the membership no matter what.

Looking at the resources that we need to launch this project. I have some PSD's that I can throw in but that is not the matter right now, we need to decide who is going to help, as a Global Mod or an Admin (probably not an Admin as they have their hands full, I talked to Shaggy and Draven earlier about something else, and they are busy with V4 and other things, so is Dementia), but Global Moderators are here and the handle the situation very well, thus you guys as Admins can choose two of them who will be active a lot and place them into this Project for being the Main Person(s) to go to when doing the transactions, and over viewing the whole idea as it takes place here and there.

As for what Dem said about the new member group, if you think about it statically, you won't really loose any benefits at all or take away USD from the site. Look at it this way, we have over 200,000 Members out here, out of which around 10 - 30 thousand are online on a monthly / weekly basis (if any). Premium / Donator / Platinum memberships offer resources and some essentials that help a member throughout the forum, but they cost real USD. These resources, cost merely small amount of Credits and offer more than the three memberships have to offer (resources wise). Also, we have over million or so credits sneaking around the GameRenders System, and most of them are in banks either rotting from ages back or just there because people can't find or afford what they are looking for.

If this is made, I am ready to throw all the credits I have currently to get this started up, credits are really small scraps of bits and bytes in computer format floating around the world wide web. And as for the people who are overlooking this whole Project, they can be controlled by the high staff. Global Moderators or Admins, as they have more power over the forum than the other staff.

Then again, it all goes down to whether we as Members and Staff are ready to set something free...

Also, When member get access, I'm sure they will post some resources too. I will pot my personal resources, that i haven't showed. And will buy more. As Zain said, he will also. So we already have a huge amount of Credits and Resources backing up this idea, so we don't have to worry about people saying "No one will buying because there's no resources yet" no. Because we do.

BTW, are we aloud to change currency with like PR. Cause I could get a lot of resources there also...JW.

 

I agree with you, i would also like another global moderator who is willing to help with this to be involved also, it makes it that little bit easier getting things running smoothly, buying resources etc.. I personally won't be on 24/7 so someone from a different timezone from me would be perfect.

I have also been buying some resources recently and have quite a few credits left in my bank that i would also be willing to put towards this, if this thing gets up and running.

We would also need to think about everything we want to see happen before we set this up, i don't want this one to be rushed (like some others have been). I want it to run as smoothly as possible, i want to see things happen when they should, resources posted on a regular basis etc etc..

To be fair Dementia, my User's Aid was up for a hell of a long time, i did do what i said i would do, i just brought the wrong kind of people in, my fault, i was a sucker then but we all learn from our mistakes but yes, i almost got myself banned, along with the other guys helping me with the User's Aid who actually stole thousands of credits from the account.

If possible i would like to get the group of people who are willing to do this, in a conversation on msn or irc and discuss everything in there, along with myself and another member of staff. We can then write everything down, gather resources, get ideas from each other etc and go from there.

 

Ill be waiting. BTW. I think posting new resources on a weekly basis is a good idea.

 

I would be willing to help, I know that I am not mod or staff, but I am true to my word. Right now I dont have any creds that are laying around that I can give, but I will when I sell some of my PSDs and I feel that I have put a ---- ton of stuff into this account so to be baned would definatly not be an option. If you need someone in a lower postion to help out then tell me.

 

TBH, i dont know what you can do. Even though you say your true to your word. You cant be trusted. I cant even be trusted and I posted the idea...

Don't rush things guys, if this Project is going to be going through the GR Staff and Approved, then I want it to take the most amount of time as possible, that way if anything comes up we can fix it in the near future. Also it allows the Staff to look over the whole Idea that Nan posted and think about it in more depth.

Kirby, what time zone are you in? I am in the Pacific Mountain Time Zone -8hrs GMT, hence, if we can set up people in different Time Zones, that way we will have a watch on this Project 24/7 as you said.

I am willing to look things over after I come back from my Visiting Trip to India on Auguest 27th, 2008. Add my MSN if we need to have a group chat on MSN (mostly everyone who wants to contribute in this Project has it).

As far as the resources go, how much credits do we have here? Everyone who wants to contribute...? Would I be needing to buy some Credits from the Members or we have enough to get ourselves started in the near future?

We will need more than just regular old .psd files to some Large Pieces, and Tags / Signatures. This is going to have Resources, so unless I am on crack here is what I think would be / should be in this Project:

1. PSD files to Large Pieces / Tags (probably the biggest contribution)
2. Stocks (found from our own members, Project Leaders, other places)
3. Renders (cut by our own members, Project Leaders, other people who are willing to do)
4. C4D Renders / Effects (I am willing to make both or atleast the effects part, we have Kirbir if she wants to step in after Aug 10th, and others)
5. C4D Models (This can be Dr!ver, Me and Others who are willing to make some models in c4d for some beginners to play around with)
6. Tutorials (I can offer to write as many tutorials as possible if you guys want, we have some good ones being sold in the Paid Tutorials Section, and I have seen some good tags out there which can be turned into fabulous tutorials)
7. Etc...(now you guys do the thinking)

As for Renders, I have a GameWallpapers.com Account and I am willing to provide Mafia Project with as many High Resolution Wallpapers as possible, if someone is willing to do the cuts for them!

Hey I was just posting what I thought GR would want to see Once this Project is settled, we have 2 Staff Members from different Timzones who are willing to help out then we can worry about the categories and Forum Name etc etc.

I can render for ya, I am starting to make tuts, but what I am saying is if you have a butt load of creds lying around then people will be tempted. We would also need a form of banking system. Where you discuss the psd you want, and you check out so many creds, and if it not what you say it is, ect. then you are fuly responsible for the creds you used.

Everything that has too do with credit transactions, whether its buying resources or the income for the forum. Will be monitored by staff and staff only.

I will keep my credits of course, and buy my resources myself...ect. And will help the mods with picking tags to buy...ect (If this is established)
