My first account was August 13th 2004. But I was looking through this community for at least 2 months before hand but never registered.

I think the current rule is fine.

I agree it pisses off people like you that joined like a month after the cutoff date and have a decent account but if they increase the cutoff date, the same thing will happen which caused the rule to be placed in effect.

Yea I agree you .Infuzion. This is a cool idea :)

Why were accounts not allowed to be sold again?

I think people just made accounts and got the post count high/added premium membership so they could just make credits off of them.

I doubt you'll see the cut off date increased, the reason its at April 1st is a majority of those joining before that, aren't into credits & money bartering in GR. We're trying to eliminate this from the GR Economy, and raising the cut off date would encourage it.

A majority of the people who sell their account, end up creating another one. Creating a never-ending cycle.

You chose to open a topic that was closed by a moderator? Your opinion was heard, by several people..and i responded to why you most likely won't see this in effect. Enough said,

If you would like a response from an admin, then the answer is that this cannot be done. Here is an example why:

    1. A user registers a lot of different accounts now.
    2. The user waits a few months for his accounts to be tradable.
    3. The user pimps up the accounts with premium membership, reputation etc and sells each of them for a lot of money.

We would prefer people's accounts to not be sold in the first place due to this allowing people to "buy" a large chunk of reputation at GameRenders, instead of earning it. However since selling accounts is popular, we have allowed old accounts to be sold as a "reward" to older members, and to stop people registering new accounts with the sole intention of increasing their value and selling them off.
