such a motherboard has been out of production for atlast 3 years. you would eed a new CPU/mnotherboard... and you would need new ram since your sdRAM wouldn't be pin compatable... and you would need a enw powersupply since nothing 3 years old kicks out enough amperage on the 12v RAILS(even if it was very highend, since back then there was mreo of an emphasis on the 5V rail) my advice is to go to a place like fry's electronics and to buy their 100$ special, install windows onto it and then buy a card.
My psu is brand new, not even 1/2 a year old, and im getting ram also. As for the halo comment Halo 3 comes out this November or December
the motherboard suggestions given by Marforce and me work with the CPU I suggested. You will be more pleased with a new CPU then with a new GPU.
How bout this mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16813138028 and this cpu: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16819103637 and then 1 gig ram
Now that I think about it, i wouldn't go with an nvidia chipset; as if you look into the future, he will probably be getting like an x800gto or a x1800xt (if they drop enough in price.) that upgrade you have there is like $200ish Sord, that over your limit?
The motherboard is cheaper than the one he suggested and u told me to use that one and this is about the same
