I seriously think it's about time Gamerenders had a renovation. You guys have a lot of members, yet not a superb-template. Make a contest for a new splash, that's been up there forever - make a new site template or something, because when I first came here, it was pretty hard to navagate.. i was young, but it still doesn't add to the fact that it isn't that much of a site unless you have the quality. Yeah, you have a good forum with nice posts, but unless someone gets lured into actually spending some time here, i doubt they're gonna be able to stay here for more than a week. Another idea is more games. Put in blackjack, i own at that.. lol ;p.. Maybe incorperate something so if you have a trophy in one of the games, you get credits each week, like maybe 5 a day = 35 a week. Just some suggestions to mkae the site betteri n my opinion, anyone has anything to add/yell at me about, please do so now ................. lol peace out, and please dont go nuclear on me.. is that how u spell it.. :S

Firstly: Yes... right, well you have 7 posts and you came here when you were young? What do you mean? Secondly, why is it hard to navigate? You had no problem finding the suggestions forum to bitch about our inadequacy. Well that might be your opinion, but I think you'll find there are a significant number who disagree (e.g. the hundreds and thousands who post here regularly - e.g. every day!!) You have a Mac right? Playing games that came out 10 years ago? If you really love it that much post another topic on it (and we might just put it on!) Yes, well spelt and this is not going nuclear on you but a 'realistic' observation on behalf of the administration.
lol iv been here like a little more than a month and post regularly so do alot of other people, i think the forum template is awesome, the splash is awesome and goes with the rest of the site and navagation thats fine just mab they could do them again except in flash

Ive removed some of the other stuff in this thread because of all the flaming and by the fact that it was going nowhere. Anyway here's my opinion about the suggestions: Another renevation to gamerenders might be a good idea, but there are some reasons why this should not be the case. Firstly, this is not really a design site, such as insert here random name-designs, its a place to get renders. While the aim of design sites is to have high graphical quality, the aim of other sites such as this one is a lot different. Take for example http://www.dnforum.com. The design aint exactly good but it is still popular because it focuses on selling/trading/appraising domain names. It doesnt matter if its the most ugly site ever, it does its job and that is all it needs to do. The same can be said with http://www.webmasterworld.com - very basic design/layout but still perfect. If you were into this type of thing (domain trading/SE optimization/search engine ranking etc) and you wanted to join one of them, then you defenetly wouldn't just go for one because it looks better. And so we come to Gamerenders. All a renders site bascially needs is a gallery, though a forum is thrown in for people to exchange/discuss about them. Other folders have been created due to demand. Its not essential to have a "1337" integrated php website with a sophisticated interactive flash interface since its not competing to have the best graphics with design sites. If this was a factor that was needed, then I would have never created this site (im personally crap at using PS and making sigs/layouts/designs). In conclusion, the majority of people visit the design sites that have the most professional design. People who visit renders sites however would join because of the content. I will be looking to give GR a new template in the future but it will take a long time to do, and of course it isn't essential. Finally, your other points. The splash has been there for about 3-4 months (since the redevelopment). I personally think it matches the website well, and unless someone creates another better one for some random reason then I think the one currently used is sufficiant. The arcade will have more games soon. I updated it a few weeks ago and is probably due for another update and a larger supply of games. I didn't make the arcade mod so it would be hard for me to understand all of the coding used to make it from scratch, meaning integrating it with the credits system will be up to the developer. I will be orgnising a tournament though. I hope ive answered your questions.

I to like the site and look. only hickup IMO is the poorly visible/not very obvious buttons for edit/quote/report/delete took me like a whole 3 visits to figure those out. skinning this forum with all the mods and the gallery has to be one helluva labor ! :blink: Boka we should take your word for that? would be more credible if you were carrying a sig and a site. too late I'm afraid your suggestion for minor improvements have nothing to do with that wrong foot but rather the afterbirth of that suggestion. could always do like in the movies, turn around and walk in again: "hi, my name is boca and..."
