i really miss the golden age of message boards and signature making. im honestly happy to have grown up with it. as soon as i used to get off of school it was onto gamerenders for the drama and to up my design skills. damn.
Growing up is nice. I lived a pretty spartan life back in the day. Now I have FAR more resources to live off of. It's quite nice.
Definitely school -> GR for me back in the day.
I'm going through the mid-life crisis years.
2 Years in Canada ruined me. Think i'm going to move to Australia next year and avoid reality for a while more.
GR was full of wonderful memories but also a metric **** ton of cringeworthy things I'd rather forget.
Lets get back to that!!!
If there's anything I know about Canada it's that it'll do that to you.
I have a Canadian friend who apologized to me for apologizing too much.
It was definitely a unique experience. I have popped back in here once every few months to see if anyone was back. Happy to still see xlink poking his head around. Reading some of my older posts, I sound like a terrible noobcake. A lot has changed in 10 years (minus the noob status)
People learn and grow. Systems change.
I'm doing my best to keep running faster and faster just to keep pace with the rate of change in the world. I like to think of myself as a quick learner but I find my motivation ot learn new systems just for their own sake is diminishing... which I find hard to believe.
GR never dies
GR is like a Phoenix.
A slightly weak dying Phoenix, but a Phoenix all the same.
I agree, I loved getting off of school and then coming and posting here. Hell even visiting here during school. Definitely a bunch of cringeworthy stuff too, as madmav said.
Now it's all about real life, unfortunately.
I am liking real-life lately though, as terrible as it can be, what with all the responsibilities and stuff that accompany it.
It definitely has its pros and its cons. I'm not sure if I liked it more when I was working and had money rolling in, or now that I'm in school again. I definitely miss the money but being in school, while it involves 2-3x the amount of time and work, isn't nearly as soul sucking as being at work.
