MCR AND P!ATD ARE MTVMO, NOT EMO. They are both pop...ish. So yes I agree. I mean I'm a complete emo basher, but I hate it when people get it completely wrong about what emos are. It also annoys me when people assume that emos are a subdivision of goths, WHICH THEY ARE NOT! Emo's are entirely unlike goths in almost every manner.
Thats ALLLL true... Well it sure could be, at least some people do that to TRY to be emo... they set out to go for this new emo we are constantly seeing in the past few years. I dont know any of those, but I am thinking this guy knows what he's sayin. Personally, these stereotypes piss me off too cuz people dont know ---- about anything. However, I make fun of emo, why? Cuz we arent in the 80's anymore, so that emo isnt around... So we got all these new bands claiming to be emo, or claimed by fans as emo. And I dont give a ---- really. I listen to atreyu, do I dress "emo" ? No... If you wanna make fun of me for it, well I'll deal with you how I see fit. Being called an emo for listening to Atreyu or MCR or something like that wont hurt me as much as I can hurt you. Thats how I see it ^
