Well I'm seriously considering Game Design as a Career for myself and I need a computer that can Render Cinema 4d images and Maya images like fast. I have around a 1.3k price limit. I'm willing to go like 1.5k with a good monitor or duel monitor. And it needs to be prebuilt I lack the skills to put one together. And must have a lot of space.
I would suggest you build it as you would get much more power for the price... Its not that hard especially if you have another computer, so if you have problems putting stuff together then just ask us... I haven't looked at the price compared to performance ill just let someone else do that
[/quote] their use has been dropping off lately FYI... in the past they used IBM's PPC processors and those were ideal for a lot of multimedia applications. This is no longer the case.
owels if you got a cousin that can give you a free PowerMac G5 then get it since i got that free from my cousin haha besides that you have to spend atleast £2000 for that PowerMac - It is genrally better at rendering compared to PC but if you want a high end PC then you need a large budget as said with dual screens wwhich can cost aalot if you plan getting 22" ones
between 2k and 3k for a prebuilt pc go look at some from HP cuz they have the best prices for what you get (i'm looking for a powerful pc myself so i know lol) the one i want has 4 Gigs of RAM, a TB of internal storage, and a Quadcore processor for about 3k from HP so they have some good deals
just click "Customize" and pick what you want i did a Dell, Gateway, Alienware, and Sony also with the same specs and they all costs more than the HP http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/shopping...e=d4990y_series
