To directly copy from my Gamespot blog: Old>New Maybe not in general, but that is how the gaming industry feels right now. I mean, wow, I don't wanna play another GTA with **** driving, shooting, story, attitude and better graphics. I wanna play a game like Chrono Trigger, or Final Fantasy 7 & 8! I wanna play a game like Zelda: A Link To The Past, or Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, not a game like Halo 360 on a HDTV. Sure, graphics are good and all, but ALWAYS goes below gameplay. Everybody can enjoy a game like Mario Party, but even that has gone overboard. Who the **** cares about that Nintendo releases a old game with recyceled minigames again? I might even stop buying games, or at least just go buy Nintendo consoles as they sometimes releases games like Mario Kart and Mario Party.

I see what your sayin but your over looking the great games. Like Battlefield 2, The Elderscrolls series, and many more. Yea some crappy games come out but great ones come out too. Just wait it out and save dat money for da good shiznizz
You know, I agree. I think everytime they increase the graphics, the acutal gameplay quality goes down. I mean, all that are good now a days are games that really you cant beat, cause most games only last me about 30-40 hours, if that. Games use to last me atleast 70-80 hours, depending how good it was, and the graphics were crap. Still, quiting isnt that good of an idea just cause the game industry is releasing some not so good games. =/
bring back puzzle adventure games. i miss em. still, kinda weird that some1 will quit gaming. i guess it's because of the money. if you're bored with it, why buy it, right?
There will always be games that have great game play and awsome graphics, you just have to wait for them.
Battlefield 2 is Battlefield 1, gimped, newer weapons. Oblivion is Morrowind, remove awesomeness of music, feeling, level placement, story. Then add a combat system that ain't boring and some graphics. Congrats, you have created a gimped Elder Scrolls! I'm a very hard games critic, and I want pure fun. Mario Party, Mario Kart, Guitar Hero, etc. I am so gonna get as many of those games as possible, as they are the hope of the gaming industry.
Nintendo sticks to gaming instead of multimedia, you will probably see better game releases from them.
The gaming industry now revovles around Graphics, not Gameplay or story. A couple years ago, it was all about story and gameplay with releases like Final Fantasy 7, Chrono Cross, and Metal Gear Solid. Now games are all about graphics, ex. Halo series. most computer games, in fact most recent releases.
Nintendo will always stay with the same old ----, cause they own. GTA games are fun when you have nothing to do, ect. It's your choice, but I don't think it's a good one.
