That is a picture of the virus. The virus file is located in my firefox cache but I think it is in a file that cannot be found. What should I do? Should I delete my whole cache folder? Please help me!

Have you tried locating it manually?

I don't really understand how it can find the virus but not know where it is...

I can't locate it manually, I'm thinking it is a hidden file that is infected.

    Merged Post:

Ok, I just rescanned that folder and there are no infected files. Could this be a problem? I never deleted the file...

Boot in safe mode and run the scan or show hiden files and folders and delet it, might not need safe mode for the latter.

The first screen you see when you boot up press f8, select safe mode when it pops up some options, it will start botting (windows logo with the bar under it maybe) tap F8 a good few times until you see something change, this will boot the computer nothing other than what you need to run it (note you can't use the internet while in safe mode) it also allows you to delet files that you can't in normal mode, it will make your computer look different but only until you reboot.

    EDIT:
Look at the location of the file on the left of the scan, find that show your hiden files and folders, if its not there do a search of your system, not with the crappy dog search. (if it can not be deleted try the below)
If still not found try safe mode and do the above scan if that fails search and delete.
For some reason i think this could just be a false alarm.
Reminds me i should really get rid of this trojan heh, regedit FTW.

When you delete it, make sure you have system restore turned off,

(My Computer > Properties > System Restore)

ok mcafree is typically considered crap by alot of people.... there must be a reason...

lok into the free system security thread here on GR and try using the free utilities there

also, how does it seem to be affecting you, if you dont' notice any effects, then what's so bad about it?

McAfee acts up at random time periods. It's best not to trust it.

    Try other anti-virus softwares, like:

    Panda or Norton(hate it:()

    PM me for more info.

McAfee often takes the wrong files as viruses...

I used to download roms at school, and after I download them, McAfee would see them as a virus, knowing that they are not viruses, as I downloaded them at home and checked them.

The problem was the way they RARed the files.
