if you're talking about a movie... google is your friend http://www.google.com/search?q=itunes+dvd fourth one down.
If your trying to use iTunes as a dvd player, it's not possible. You could just use Windows media player if your on windows or quicktime if your on a mac.
or winamp or DivX or... there is a lot more out there than the crap that Crapple and micro$oft makes. Apple and M$ make really mediocre software by industry standards.
Just apple key click and open with iTunes then it will have a little preview then you go to video>open full screen or whatever. Or get VLC media player. P.S. windows is ----.
P.S. OSX isn't really much better. While OSX is generally more stable, it doesn't recover from crashes as well and memory IO performance is a bit in the gutter as compared to other *nix OSes and even windows. Admittedly it doesn't matter much for general use, but...
Whatever helps you to sleep at night. I've gotten in many mac vs. windows fights and it's not even worth it. I'm too stubborn, and i'm sure you would be too. So I will go on my with mac liking, and vice versa for you.
here's the crazed thing though... I don't like windows. I think it's POS and needs to be scrapped for something else.
I know you don't. But you seem to like to give it a lot of credit. Yes, credit is due where deserved, but you give too much. Yes, M$ has done many good things to help further the technology economy, but they rip you out of so much money too. Maybe not all of it is directly, but you pay a huge price for using Windows.
i do give it credit, design wise they're moving in the right direction and there is tangible improvement. vista's falling under fire because it's very agressive when it comes to memory caching. and that means you need more RAM. RAM is cheap and if I can get improved performance because the harddrive is paged to less as the data is already in memory, then I'm very happy. I consider vista's aggressive memory caching to be very good. on the linux side fo things, this has been going on for quite some time. now I don't think vista's implementation is as good as found under most of linux, but hey it's a start
get a ripping and burning software if thats all you need....just search google for some good free ones
