if you're really so pissed about little spelling anomalies like that, I suggest you actually consult a dictionary. you'll find that *gasp!* both versions are correct! oh, and use a real dictionary (oxford-english or something comparable). kthx ^_^

colour is the right spelling, but here in canada and US they use color.

 

yet another reason so many different ethnicitys have problems learning and writing out our language and standards (like US instead of metric...)

You know, I am an American writer, meaning I get paid to write. Do you know how I spell colour? Colour. And favourite. And armour. Why do I do it? Because it's proper English. Why do you spell it color?

And no, I have not an ounce of French or Canadian in me. I've lived in America all my life. My Italian heritage has nothing to do with how I choose to spell words.

Both versions are allowable, but the correct ones have "u"s in them. The reason you're brought up with "color" is because you're too ----ing lazy to put the damn "u" in.
