I Hate It When...

Have you ever been innocently searching on the internet and suddenly come across misspelled words? such as, colours, armour, favourites or even theatre? WTF...Oh wait these are not mistakes at all, they are people who want to take some french out of their language and put it in english...wow. Look in the dictionary, they are spelled color (cul-ore) not colour (cul-OUR). by the way I bet 90% of the people doing that are either french or canadian.

Why do you care that English chaps spell Colour and you spell Color?...

I bet you'd even whine that in French its Le Crocque Monsieur and in english it's Toast with a bit of frigging cheese and ham in between.

And my guess is that 99,999% of this forum has no idea why you made this topic and that 80% knew that english chaps spell some words with an extra U. And furthermore, England(Or UK, w/e you prefer) is not the same as the US, therefor their languages are not similar.

And the reason why english chaps have a bit 'o french in their Anglais(Ya rly, that's french..now pay attention). is that the UK was conquered by a french king around 1800 (Or something like that) and he decided that it would be funny to talk a bit better and not speak like total Texan farmers.

So that why they say Armour and you say "WTF dude, das weird ----".

The people who spelt it Colour, are, shock horror, RIGHT.

It's how it's spelt correctly in the English Language, not the American Version.
