[/b][/quote] So my original problem of having all USB devices showing as "Unknown Plug and Play device" was a 3rd party problem eh? even things that were designed for vista? and was fixed with a MS update? tbh i'm all for vista now, providing that the system has at least 3gb of ram, most peoples complaints about vista was the laggyness but this was due to OEM manufacturers not putting in enough ram (1gb!?!) EDIT: win 2k > xp
