My god your monitor is ugly.
Not a particularly advanced PC, but, welcome to the 21st century at least.

Vista's more trouble then it's worth over-all though.

The main problem with Vista is that it uses too much memory.. XP was a lot better for me. Plus, I'm not a fan of getting used to new interfaces. Takes a while to get used too... especially when I used XP for 3 years+. I bought a computer right before Vista came out (so it had XP), and I recently bought another one (which was a lot better spec-wise), yet they both ran the same...

Besides, you don't have much to compare too - anything was ALOT better than your previous computer, to be honest lol. You definetly did pretty good for an improvement.

Well my main experience with Vista comes primarily from when it was first released, the major problem for me being compatibility issues.

Java for example, took a long time to get working.

    that must have been fixed.

the only problem i got was trying to play a pc game that was made for Xp, which you obviously can't.

im starting to think all this 'oh Vista sucks' is just the product of a mob mentality.

if you were going to get a compact system... you should've gotten a laptop since those end up costing about the same amount and are equally unupgradeable.

also I'm willing to bet that your old speakers are superior to the new ones just by looking at size.

I will disagree, I like vista

    mob mentality.

same thing happened with XP now everyone loves it.

all the "vista issues" came about from 3rd parties sitting on their asses and not getting on their game.

Vista is pretty nice, I like it more than XP.

Of course it isn't 100% waterproof, and of course you can bitch about it all you want.
But remember that everyone bitched about XP in the beginning as well. And now no one is against XP anymore because everyone got used to it.

well I think most people prefer XP to 2000 or 98SE now if I'm not mistaken. I do.
