as much as you piss me off broken (lol you don't really ) this tag is pretty good I think.. Just the blue lighting on the right of Tidus shouldn't be there imo the rest looks fine, and btw you will have to show me how to do depth better.. make me a tut and ill pay ya 25 credits or something your always saying my tags are flat
Depth's very different depending on the tag etc. so it's kind of hard to just write a tutorial for it. The basic principle to consider is your tag is split into 3 different sections 1 - Foreground 2 - Middle 3 - Background. Take the posted tag. The object in front of Tidus to the bottom, while small, shows that he's in the middle, then there's background behind him. Layers layers layers, different darknesses. Apply Image at the end and mess around with Burn/Dodge a bit too. Anywho. Cheers for the comments. (Better not be hatin'! I know I come across harsh, but honestly, it's constructive criticism (unless they're annoying ^.-)) Just helps more then bland complements.
hmmm I experimented with that on my last tag that you commented on go check out the v2 and tell me if thats kind of what you meant? also do you want the 25 credits for that? and do we burn the background layer then dodge the focal layer and burn the foreground? (effects infront of the focal)??
Well again, it depends on the tag, On the one I posted the foreground to the left is relatively bright. Just checked out your most recent, and it has got the starts of some depth, particularly on the left hand side. Major problem is with Anime Renders, unless you're used to doing it, depth is fairly hard to establish since (like the one you posted) there's a lack of light/shadow on the render, it's a flat 2D surface which already messes up the depth a bit. Need to start blurring a bit too, In your bottom current there's a bit of depth actually, decent foreground/background established, just no real light source. All comes with time and practice really.
Would have to agree. I don't like how it seems that there is lighting coming the bottom of him and from the top of him. I personally think it would look better without the blurry-ness and if it was a tad bit sharpened around the focal area..
The background seems much too blurry, and the foreground seems a bit blurry itself. Sharpen it up a bit and add some contrast.
