Okay now imagine this... Your playing a gig in a bar and your friend comes to all your gigs and supports you during your struggle to become a successful musician. After a few songs you find yourself talking to a very rich and powerful man in the music business. He offers you a contract with him for one year and you are guaranteed success. This is your lucky break, and this is the only guy that will be interested in you for a long time. A fight breaks out in the bar and a fire is started. The place starts to crumble and a piece of the ceiling falls on your friend and the man offering you the contract. You realise that you can only save one of them before the place collapses and burns. Your friend has been a loyal friend for many years and supports you with everything you've ever done. You have struggled for almost the same amount of time searching for your big break to make it big in the music business, it has been your life long dream. Which one of them do you save?
I'd definitely go with friend. I mean, success can only do so much; often times, musicians will turn to drugs and/or alcohol after all the success gets to their heads. If you stick with your friends, you are fine off having fun and enjoying yourself doing it. That, and I would have a much worst guilty reflux if it was my friend and not some guy I just met.
<strike>I run out and leave them both, find a new manager who offers me a better contract and make millions of friends worldwide. I am a nasty sonuva...</strike> Just kidding. I'd get them both out at the same time, might be heavy and they might look like a bunch of gays but they live and so do I.
Lol if they are fat and heavy i would be leaving because i dont wanna get myself kill on the way. =) thats me
Id go with the friend. A you've known him for more than 5 minutes and B you can also find success again, it might take some time but it would come if you try.
I'd leave the friend. Record deals are often once or twice in a life time, you can make more friends every day. besides, you can just buy new friends with your million dollar contract.
