Hydrogen - I am 30 will be 31 in December. .addikt - So Hydrogen, how long have you been on game renders for? Hydrogen - Since Jan. 31, 2005 .addikt - What did you do to become a mod, in your perspective? Hydrogen - In my opinion, it was from trying to help people find what they were looking for. But mainly for being helpful. .addikt - Does it get tough to be a mod at times? Hydrogen - Yes it does, some people still think we can remove their -reps, we have to step in and be the middle man when someone has been scammed, we have to try and keep the peace in every situation. .addikt - So, if I were to make an example of this.. Would the most average gr member have a comment like this.. "Hey Hydrogen, some dude just -rep'd me for something stupid.. Can you take it off for me?" Hydrogen - That is pretty much some of the PM's I get, other are reporting spammers, warez, scammers or just about anything you could possibly imagine. .addikt - Sounds like most of the people.. Anyway, what do you think of this GR Credits senario, do you think we should keep them? Hydrogen - That is a tough subject. I think they should stay. I know there are people who hate people selling their credits for real money, but that is up to the person who is bidding. I use them to buy sigs from people, steam accounts, Guild Wars accounts. I have given some of the accounts to my friends. .addikt - If you werent a mod, do you think you would have a different opinion on this? Hydrogen - No, I would feel exactly the same. .addikt - Have you had any other past moderation experiences before Game Renders? Hydrogen - I did moderate on my Mohaa clan forums and another small graphics site before. Both are now closed. .addikt - If you had one thing you would like to change about Game Renders, what would it be? Hydrogen - Tough question. The only thing that really bothers me sometimes is, the level of maturity of some of the members who post nothing but negative comments or like to pick on other members because of their experience with graphics. I think they forget they were new once too. .addikt - Do you think the new rules are harsh? Such as the ones BFTP has made? Hydrogen - I dont think they are harsh. They are made that way because people tend to push the rules to see what they can get away with. BFTP takes alot of slack for being harsh, but he is a very good moderator and will tell it like it is, as needs to be done. The new rules are made after they have been given thought and input from all staff members, not just made on a whim and posted to be reviewed later. .addikt - Who do you think out of all the other moderators.. Has shown the best out of this month? Hydrogen - That is a toss up between 3, Renagade, Girly and 4nub1s, They have taken great steps at trying to catch all reported and non reported threads, edit them if needed, move threads to the correct forums, of reprimand a member if needed. If they are not sure about how to respond to a certain thread, they ask someone else to be sure.
