Am I allowed to request information about signatures? (if not delete this topic or move to the proper area plz!?)

I'd like to putt that effect (the gif... disappearing/reappearing/Lightning Effect...etc) on one or more of my signatures... I asked the artist how he did it... but he says he wont disclose that information... Please, please, please teach me! Someone anyone... I've only been using photoshop for the past 3 days... (I've had it for about a year tho, just never used it till now!)

Specs if you need to know:
    Adobe Photoshop CS2
    Adobe Image Ready CS2
(dunno if these are the most recent one's or not...)

Sorry, not to be rude or anything, but that doesn't help... I've been to those sites many times in the past 3-4 days... I'm looking for specific details... If you could refer me to a specific search and/or the exact link to a tutorial that helps with this effect It would be very appreciated!

Well, read up on some simple animation tutorials, sepcifically text animation. In his example however, I think he may have just found a video file of that animation, and cropped it into his signature using Image Ready. Good luck mate ^_^

Thats pretty advanced stuff. He probably got a video file and just cropped it and put it in the sig. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother trying to do that because it is very difficult.

Actually, I think that is a video clip he made smaller because it looks familiar (watches G.I.T.S.)
