Well I wanna get a macbookpro as my laptop, but I dont wanna spend 2k, when I can get them on ebay for 1k-1.5k

I never bought or signed up on ebay

I know the user feedback and such, but I want to know though who well do you trust ebay? And is their anyway to know a bad seller?

Check their rating, if their rating comes from alot of people with 0-1 auctions, don't count them for a decent rating. If a user has 60,000+ rating, and a lot of couple thousand ratings, then they are generally trustworthy.

If a person has under 100 ratings, don't bother (yes, I am one of those, but I never sell, just buy, so yeah...)

I think your covered up to 500 on paypal...But im sure ebay have policys and if you cantact them then they should sort sumin out.

Only thing i been wondering the past few days is that, although i trust ebay and use it a fair bit idk wat stops someone selling a 1k laptop which is faulty then simply closing eveyrhting down (although ebay acc takes 6months to close) you could change eveyrhting i think...

But check out help in ebay shoudl reassure you :)

For something that expensive, really make sure they have high positive feedback. Something super-high like Dem said. Anything under 1,000 or even 10,000 in my opinion is a gamble.

eBay is a great place, i've bought about 70 things (mainly action figures, shirts, badges etc.) on it.

    Very trustworthy.

The ammount of fakes on ebay is rediculous, and suprisingly its not hard to spot these sellers but they still have amazing rep. So you still gotta be careful and dont just go by rep.

But generally power-sellers are good, and just look at his reps and read the negative reps. Also only pay with paypal, because if they are tricking you, you can complain and get your money back.

i only trust the sellers on eBay if they have a rating of 90-100, Anything lower then you can forget about it, also its your choice whether or not to go through with the plan.
