Cool tutorial. I'm trying to read all of the rendering tutorials I can find because I just started rendering.
Not bad. I disagree with saving as a .gif. It supports transparency, but it's only 1-bit, meaning pixels can either be transparent or not. This makes for unproper anti-aliasing which results in jaggy edges. PNG-24's are the way to go since they don't have that problem. File sizes bloat like crazy, but it's a small price to pay when the render is perfect.
Thanks I know, the only reason i said .gif was mainly cus of that problem .png's have with I.E. and the filesize thing.
Fair enough. IE's lack of alpha transparency is a problem. It's been a bother to me for quite a while. I believe IE 7 will support it, though.
no problem, glad to help Microsoft must have put a ton of work into it cus of FireFox, there competition. wonder what itll be like
