Welcome, in this tut im gonna show you how to make a great sig background or you may want to use it as a sig without a render. Before we start, i will be using Dooms abstract brushes and Metal Cx's fractal brushes. lets get started. before we start, im going to tell you people im on ME so i dont have to listen it. heres a link to the brushes http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/17367663/

we will be making a background or a sig whichever you please that will look like this. [IMG]

    1. start by making a new sig, 350-120. [IMG]

    2. fill the background with black. [IMG]

    3. pull out one of metals fractal brushes, only use it once, make sure its white. [IMG]

    4. make a new layer, and pull out dooms abstract brushes. start in the corners first. [IMG]

    5. keep brushing on the same layer, it should look something like mine. [IMG]

    6. go to layer, new adjustment layer, levels. [IMG]

    7. adjust the settings similar to mine, this will give the sig immediate depth. [IMG]

    8. time to add some color, for the midtones, make the cyan and blue 100%, highlights blue 30%, shadows cyan 30%, once your done, go to filter render clouds on the color balance layer. [IMG]

    9. make another color balance layer and add these settings, midtones red 50% yellow 50%, highlights yellow 30%, shadows red 30%, now go to filter render clouds on this colorbalance layer.[IMG]

    10. go to layer, new adjustment layer, brightness/contrast. apply these settings [IMG]

    11. now time to add a nice effect, go to layer flatten image. [IMG]

    12. duplicate your background layer. on the duplicated layer go to filter blur gaussin blur and set the radius to 2.0, set the blending options to lighten. [IMG]

    13. now just press Ctrl+A and go to edit stroke 1 px and the color of your choice for the border, add some text and your done. [IMG]

    14. hope you learned how to create an easy yet effective background or renderless sig. [IMG]
