Well, I have been working with photoshop for 2 month now. And I realy wana know how to improve. It would be fun to be abel to make a tut to sell (just like the big guys lol) Right know I try to buy alot of tutorials to read.
all you can do is read lots of tutorials and practice (or take lessons from a pro, but you need lots of money for that :tongue
Believe me , it's all tutorials at first. Until you know Photoshop inside out like what does what .. slowly combines techniques. You may not smudge a render before , so try that now. If it looks good , probably you improved. Try not to copy a tutorial , it's just totally copying , sometimes you dont learn from it. Just anticipate what they do.
Yea, your right...Have to start post some more...But selling my psd's dont think anyone wana have those lol Yea, I almost never follow a tut step by step...Onlytry to understand why they do it like they do...
I think PSDs might work , if you know how to actually learn it. I don't think you need creds to get better for now , just tuts will do.
Well, just make alot of art and try alot of new stuff, don't always make your sigs the same. If you do that, there's 95 % that you'll succeed and be a good designer. Then from a good designer you can go to a great designer, but then you'll have to be really creative and be talented.
tuts are easy. make a document thats 500x10000 (or less depending on how many layers in the PSD) and just go layer by layer explaining how to do each step. then apply image and copy that into the tut to show what it looks like. simple. if you want more help feel free to PM me or i can give you my MSN/AIM
Obssesion makes better. I would say to try new things in every sig, try not to make them the same especially if you don't like the outcome. Oh, what nielz said basicly. And remember to twist around every tut, if it dosen't work for you, just change it. This is very important, or else you don't really learn much from it. ^_^ Oh and don't back down if you make a sig that isn't that good! It happens to me very often.
my advice is to just sit in ps for hours messing with stuff . try not to be a tutwhore because if you just follow tuts you dont learn anything yourself , only what others teach you
just experiment with different styles and different techniques i use tuts as references but never copy the exact style.
Well, you could read pro tutorials, that way it'll give you more of an opportunity to explore the filters/options,etc. It's not always bad to do the same style over and over, just mess around and try to find good looking effects to add onto the style you're current'y doing.
