How the hell does this work?

It seems to only do its job when you actually do what it says to do.

If you just pick random shapes and click it's almost always wrong.

But if you do the steps it's always right...WTF!?

    holy crap...

I think it uses a timer to do this but seriously that is tripy that it makes the 1/5 guess each time

or it logs where you move your mouse...

or they use aoftware to track eye movement

Yeah but if you actually pick 2 numbers, add em etc etc then it's ALWAYS right not like 1/5 times.

Freaky ----. Can someone explain it? Keep in mind that if you just pick random shapes and click it's always wrong.

    Merged Post:

How do they track movements...? There's no cameras or ---- anywhere.

And it seems if you take your mouse off the area, do the sums then click ti seems to have a lower rate of success.

It's all about math. There is a formula behind this, but it somehow only works when you follow it. I forgot what I knew of the formula, or else I'd share.

Yeah, I just realised that the symbols change when you refresh the page.

But how does it get the number from your brain to the computer...?

It doesn't. Following it's formula, doing it the way it asks, simply makes sure that the result is what was desired.

    What...the...hell. How does this work?

It seems to my primitive brain that it's random but that can't be right.

    Damit, I need this explained.

Each combination of numbers you subtract has the same symbol attached to it. The reason you get a different symbol each time is because the symbol map always changes when you click Try Again.

    Yeah, what he said. >_>

I think I might try to make one of these things. Just to find out for myself.

But how come if you think up a number it's always right?!

    It's like telepathy, I don't get it.

Out of 99 numbers you pick, say 66 then take away 12 from 66 and thats 44.

But if you do what I said and look what 44's symbol is then keep clicking the orb to look for 44's symbol, it's always wrong.

    EXPLAIN!

well it worked sometimes, but when it asked you to subtract that total from the first number chosen and i got -21, so i figure ok, ill make that 21, and the mind reader was way off, but if i had a positvie it usaully got it right, but
not always, i chose 60 & 40, so 60+40=100 .:. 100-60=40, well it didnt get that one right either, but still it is a pretty kewl device game thing... nice find

how do you get 21? that isn't even possible

    39 - 12= 27
    38 - 11= 27

    ...
    31-4 = 27
    30-3 = 27
    29 - 11 = 18
    28=10=18
    ...
    19-10=9
    18-9=9
    ...
    10-1=9

all the multiples of 9... trust me. take a look it's 9 every time.

tonic this is how it works, it makes it so the number you get is always a multiple of 9 and all the mults of 9 are the same.
