How long do you take when you're making a tag?

Just curious, because on all those tutorials they're saying over an hour...
And people say they spent hours on it.

I've never spent more than 5 minutes on a tag...
Maybe that's why none turn out very well :P

There is no set time. Everyone will tell you times vary.

    I'd say so.

Depends on what I'm making it for. A Request for another site I may put like 10-30 min tops in. A sig for myself and my amusement, 30 min - 3 hours. Course that isn't straight, normally dinner or a break etc., and involves lots of trial and error.

Yeah, I know there's no obvious 'set time', but just curious.
Just seems like I rush them, although I don't see how I could take much longer.

If you need 3 hours for a tag, you're a piece of shiit.

3 - 6 hours is for an LP. Maybe like..over a span of 3 days.

A tag..maybe 45 minutes tops? There's only so much you can do, and the most IN-DEPTH tag work...could maybe take up to an hour and a half, but why spend so much time and effort..on a ------ing 400x150 piece of art? Learn to make LPs, real artwork.

Not that I view tags as art, but I don't see how making something bigger makes it better.

People are far too quick too dismiss tag making, if you go from Tags to LPs with nothing inbetween then all your LPs will essentially big tags, which is just....ew.
If you're going to learn LPs, just do a few every now and again along with whatever tags you usually would, until you're good enough at LPs.

    Anywho.
    On topic.

About 30 minutes if there's some effort in it, though most are crop's of LPs nowadays.

Lawl, no one else finds that comment ironic? :D

Oh and to answer your question, I usually spend twenty minutes to an hour in a row, then I'll take a break be it a few days, weeks, or hours.

As was said, it depends. If I'm doing everything from scratch (cutting the render, hand drawing stuff) it can take upwards of a couple of hours. A basic sig is only a good ~45m, though.

I wonder, how long does it take you to remove your head from your ass?

I haven't made a sig in a while, but the last one I made took about 90 minutes odd.

Its offensive first off, and consider this a flame warning. Second off, it is a bit ironic.

That's totally normal. Putting time and logical thought into work is perfectly normal. Just as Jynx and Jackal and I as well as several others do I'm sure.

Whenever I actually want to make a sig, I just stare intensely at my monitor until it makes one for me. This power usually gives me a boner, so I have to -------slap God a few times to make it go away.

Whole process takes ~jiffy (1/100th of a second).

Before making a tag, I spend a week in the Mojave desert performing a ritual cleansing fast. I perform this fast while I'm stark naked and high on some quality hallucinogen. Around the 7th day, my spirit animal (a Bengal tiger) transports me to a paradise of strippers who reveal what my tag looks like while I make it rain on 'em. Then my spirit animal transports me back to my abode where I proceed to sculpt my tag. Whole process takes like 3 weeks. Strenuous work tbh.

And this is non-stop work, guys.

This man knows how to make a proper sig. The rest of you are lazy.
