has anyone noticed as more and more new people join more people have been using +rep's as money??? +reps should be used to say that someone did a good job or is helpful and nice or mean or whatever....not "+rep ~ made sig"...but thats just IMO....
Meh, doesn't really matter. It's not really worth anything, just shows if someone is bad, nice, cool, helpful etc. Credits aren't anything either, unless you need free hosting..
wellthey did something good so they deserve to have their rep utation raised. thats why the rep systm is in place right?
yeah i never liked how people said "plz rep me" you dont ask for a rep, that pretty much kills the whole system.. you get a rep if someone feels you are cool or a jackass and they decide to give u one
i used to do that, but it was just, if ur not gonna credit me, rep me. cuz my renders used to not be free..
Reputation, at the end of the day, is a face value and is not always representative of the person -- FACT. Reputation points are there to enable members to feedback on each other. It is a system whereby members can either gratify or repremand their fellow posters. From an administrative perspective, this system is not actively monitored and discrepancies must be reported by the individual. For this reason, the reputation system does not give members specific rights or privaleges over other members. I feel that it is more of a sign of respect than anything else, does anyone disagree with that? As for the suggestion it has become a currency, well, each member has the free will to choose how they should best distribute their points right ? Obvious abuse of the system, when reported, is dealt with quickly. Its always nice to know that people appreciate it if you do present work which took time and effort to prepare. Reputation points facilitate this!
