How Do You Organize Your Gfx Folder?

First off sorry if this is the wrong spot to post it as I didn't see a "Design talk" forum.



Or whatever you call it.

I am in the middle of organizing my PC and now everything that I have on my external harddrive is now in one big folder called "**** to Keep" It is basically my Music/Movies/Pictures/Etc..

Right now I am trying to organize my graphics folder so it looks clean and neat but I need ideas. So if you could tell me how you organize yours that would help. Here is what my old one looked like.

So ya people post yours cause I need ideas for mine cause I fail.
Also screen shots are cool.

 

"Photoshop CS4" is my main folder.

My subfolders are:

-C4D
-Downloaded PSD's
-Images (all my stocks, etc.)
-Ready for Sorting (all downloads go here for sorting.)
-Work Save Folder (PNGs + PSDs)
-Tutorials
-Bought PSD
-Received Gifts
-Special

 

Let's see....ehm.

C4D
Sigs
LPs
My Renders
Stocks (Fractal/Asteroid sub folder)
Sample Pictures (The crappy file that's there at the start, for random images).
Graphic Project 1
Graphic Project 2
Paintings

 

2 folders

- GFX

- Graphic Design

Hobby work for sites like GR and others goes in the former, serious paid work and portfolio stuff goes in the latter. I have a significant folder tree in each one, but I'm not gonna go into that.

ive tried to delete the entire gfx folder but it wouldnt work cause i have too much stuff

I'm not going to bother posting my huge tree, but I will tell you that I have chosen my GFX folder as the home for my porn collection.

It goes under...

GFX --> Photoshop --> New Creations --> Large Artwork --> Requests --> Friends --> Dan Project --> Stocks --> File Converter

And there you have it.

I do the same way.

 

Looks like steez has a black secret in the 'extras' folder.

Anyway, mine is seriously messed up.

Sorting it all out now.

 

That's a lot of GFX Ravr, where did your previous work go?

 

its all gone, reinstalled computer and didnt backup but didnt do anything usefull with it anyway

Main Desktop Folder: Artwork/Graphics >

- Boredom > Signatures, Avatars, Photomanipulation, Other Misc.

- Fine Art > Paintings, Sketches, Photography

- Graphic Documents (tutorials, tips, magazine articles, etc.)

- School Work (projects and such)

- Renders/Stock Images > C4D, Comics, TV/Movies, Stocks/Photography, Video Games
