im pretty sure i have an IRC proxy, and thats why i got g-lined from quakenet. can someone help me get rid of my proxy, =\ idk how...
you can check to see if you have a proxy set up. Go to Control Panel> Internet Options> click on the connections tab and at the bottom is the proxy server settings, if there is something there, write down the information, in case you need to put it back later, and uncheck the box. Then try and connect again, but you may find your internet wont connect afterwards, due to the proxy missing. May or may not work for you, but its worth a try.
Proxies for mIRC are set up under mIRC itself as the proxies are normally different. To see if you have a mIRC proxy you would have to open mIRC, hit ALT+O to bring up the options, go to connect, and open its sub menus and go to firewall. That is where proxies are set up at, and on default there are none.
