How Do You Get Out Of Gfx Blocks?

Back to basics...

 

my advice is not to give up on a tag until you are finished. theres pretty much always a way to make a bad tag look good. so if it looks bad at a midpoint, dont give up.

 

Time.. and if nothing else.. follow tutorials until you find you own style again...

 

find inspiration (mine comes with looking at stocks and good artist's work)... then make a tag inside your head before you attempt to make whatever you could think of.

 

So true, if you ever see a .psd from my sigs (which no one does) it looks like crap until its almost done lol.

Usually, I do video editing until something inspires me to do a graphic, if that doesn't work, I write, then I edit, then I graphic, its like one big circle of stuff to do. Then there's always gaming...or making graphics of your favorite things. That's what got me going at first, you can also do sig requests or just nothing at all until one day the urge to do something comes back.

 

Most of the good ones like listen to music, see movies, game etc have been said, or, join a new site and check out some good artists there.

 

I only ever try to make tags when I see a particular render that catches my imagination. If you try to force it, you end up just making your block worse. Also, if you find a tag is looking crap, just crank up the contrast tons, add the render -------blended overtop and just colour the f*ck out of it with gradient maps and photo filters and it'll look good.

 

eh i just keep trying new stuff and I listen to music.
