Is there a way to increase the size of an image and keep the same quality as the original?

No. Unless it is a vector.

    Hmm?

Exactly. Only vector can. Obviously photo's can't, because you're just increasing the pixel size, causing it too look pixelated..

from what I heard, it's possible to blow up images using Adobe Illustrator, and it doens't have to be a vector. It's what I heard, not proven. Plus there has to be a way

If the image is already a good size and you want to make it just a little bit bigger it should be fine, but if you want to take a really small one and make it huge it will look like crap.

For it to be the same quality, the number of pixels would need to be increased every time the photos is enlarged. Obviously, it can't just pull pixels out of this air to fill in the missing spaces...
