How Do I Make Pics Bigger?

i was wondering how to make pics better without making it all blurry. when i go to the renders board, i see people can make their renders bigger without making them blurry. so help me out here

 

you can hit CTRL+T and then change the size.

 

when i do this the pic goes weiord the pixels mess up

 

once you set it to the size you want then do the free transform, it will become clear again, unless its a huge difference in size.
