The only image I've ever done besides Kane (which I have posted here in the past) because I couldn't find a render of it anywhere else. I only render things when I find it absolutely needed and it's something I care about.

This walker is from a game I'm very much looking forward to, Universe at War: Earth Assault, the first unique game from Petroglyph Games which holds a lot of the former Westwood Studios staff which made great games such as C&C and Dune.

Hope you enjoy and of course critism is wanted, but note I don't render very much and when I do I don't for absolute perfection as I know I'm way too fussy it'd take forever. It's the only render I found of it through out the interwebs so eh at least I'm the first to try I think. I don't think this image would be hard for a --- so if anyone likes the game and old Westwood games as much I do I'd hope you give it ago for UaW entusiast such as myself.

    Anyway, enjoy.

Hey that works but what are you suppose to do? Just make it fill with a opposite color than what you're cropping and then jut use the magic wand and select the splat you've created and delete it?

It's a bit better but on the spikes of his head its choppy and there are some more choppy parts. And if you look closely there are some black lines around the render, i'd get rid if those if i were you, it would look alot better.

    Anyway keep practicing!

Yea I realize the spikes are not so great but it's the best I could do sadly. The things aren't very thick or defined so I didn't know where to trim as much as the rest of it.

Black lines? Also am I using the pen tool correctly? I made the color of the pen pink and worked it and then used the magic wand on the pink area I created and deleted it. I feel I might be using it all wrong.

look in the premium tutorials section and look for a tutorial by kazuya i think it should be there but it'll be an old one, and that'll teach you how to render easily

    You can improve the render.

    Good luck! :)
