Well the trick is to cut off the blood to the brain when you do the sleeper hold. When you get your arm around their neck you want to be able to grab your own shirt on the other side usually your shoulder. And than apply pressure with the other hand to the back of the head.

O I know there isn't really a "safe zone" in Iraq since even the most protected bases there are mortared almost every other day. But in the same aspect the Military has giving me 47 weeks of training with a price tag of 200,000 and a Top Secret Clearance to work on the systems that have classified intel on them. So the likely hood of me doing the hooking and jabbing is very slim. But the threat is always there.
