Sorry, you can respect an individual in a position of power without ass kissing, and you don't need to be a rebel to voice your opinion. The sad truth, for yourself Acrima, would be that despite your personal feelings towards myself, people do like me. Why? Because people aren't generally ignorant and belligerent about their opinions and maintain an open mind, as any being with a form of intelligence should, unlike yourself. The people I hate, and thus hate myself in return? The same people who choose to remain ignorant despite evidence and fact being presented, the people who try to voice pure opinions as fact and wish for discussion to end there, where they are right and you are wrong, which is exactly as you do.
