What version of WMP are you running? The current version is 10. Update to that, or you can go into add or remove programs, go to the windows components, and uninstall WMP, restart, then install it again.
Yep i advise you to update your WMP you should really have done that first then installed SP2 coz there are patches for that well go to WMP 10 then see if it happens if it happens again go to windows update and see if there are any patches/updates available
