K, I moved my forum from mysite.com/forums/ to just mysite.com and now I can't login anymore. I changed the site location in the config_global.php file but is there something else I need to fix before this works?
Its because the cookie setup in the admin panel was set to go to /forum and you didnt update it to ../ before you changed. either go into the database and change the values or put the forum back to where it was, go into the admin panel and change the cookies to reflect the new directory.
K, what database and such? I'm lost here. If you actually know where it is so I can change it quickly that would be awesome. Luckily I didn't delete my old forums yet...
I dont know where in the database the entry is. But if you just change the cookie settings in the admin panel in General Configuration and then move it to mysite.com it will work.
K I really don't know what cookie settings you speak of. Now the only thing I can't do is login to the Admin CP. Everyone else can login fine.
you will only be able to loginto the admin panel until you put the board back to its orginal sub directory before it stuffed up. Then click where it says to on the image below and change all the domain settings and cookie settings where you see fit to where you will be moving the forum too.
My other admin can log in. Its just me. This is new, I just got a PM from him after I've been complaining for like 18 hours straight trying to figure this out.
