That's DUNS 769 769 - The specified destination is not reachable. This error should only occur if you are trying to connect to the Internet or remote server via a PPPoE (Point-to-point protocol over Ethernet) link. A PPPoE connection is often used with DSL service, but is almost never used for a dial-up connection to the Internet. Check your network connections (connectoids) - if you show all connections (Start-> Connect to -> Show all connections) make sure that your dial-up connectoids are listed in the 'dial-up' section. If you are trying to establish a VPN (virtual private network) dial-up connection, it's necessary to specify a normal dial-up connectoid in the 'First dial' section of the VPN connectoid. This error may also occur if you are attempting to establish a PPPoE connection via a network card that is not enabled (or properly installed).
hmm well oki..i installed the network board thingy...n well its dls n yes thats PPPoE but still it doesnt work...n i made sure everything is enabledd...but wuts wierd is that in the device manager it says that there is only one thing....1394 drive ...n nothing else..even though i installed that drive..(i rebooted too) so ya..iunno wtf is wrong:S
Use your computer and download a driver off the website of the creator of the card. Uninstall everything you have. Take the card out and put it back in so it will redetect it. Put the driver on a flash drive or floppy or CD-R that you got from your computer and install it on his computer. Reset the PPPoE and setting and enable it (ofcourse). Then it "SHOULD" work. If not, I will keep thinking. Merged Post: 1394 - Leave it It's a very fast external bus standard that supports data transfer rates of up to 400Mbps (in 1394a) and 800Mbps (in 1394b). Products supporting the 1394 standard go under different names, depending on the company. Apple, which originally developed the technology, uses the trademarked name FireWire. Other companies use other names, such as i.link and Lynx, to describe their 1394 products.
