    First off, read your textbook

The French gave money to the americans to help fund it, and sent over mercenaries I belive.

WikiPedia is your best bet, but yea, they contributed money towards weapons especially, I believe. Recently went over this.

I wouldn't trust Wikipedia to be really honest with you, as the information on there can me manipulated very easily if you don't know by now. It's one of the worst sources actually.Look in your history textbook, or a trustworthy encylopedia (Encarta isn't too bad), as this seems to be general information, rather than something you need to interpret. (I would recommend academic journals for those.)

A simple google search can give you so much information, I don't understand why you need help on this. :P
