Help Upgrading

    I kno my rig is trash, s'why i want to upgrade. Any ideas or suggestons. I'm really new to this so ask for any info needed because I know little about PC's.

    What's your budget? I would add another stick of memory to match the one you already have. Maybe get a video card to substitute the on-board video that you have on your mobo.

    what's your budget and what do you want out of it?

    budget = $500, I mostly use my pc for watching videos,music,CS2 and other graphic like stuff. I just want better performance overall. I want the best out of my applications and I think an upgrade should do just that.

    if you do 3d graphics stuff which si GPGPU optimized a GFX card might help.
    otherwise, it won't

    what would help would be a CPU with more l2 cache and more RAM.

    Phoenix is a dell bios (as far as I know) so you can't overclock as the bios is locked.

    likely socet 475 but better safe than sorry...
